English » Belarusian news » 2 сакавіка а 149 Gay Group launched new gay magazine in Minsk![]() A group of Belarusian Gay activists from the ‘LGBT Civil Initiative GayBelarus’ launched today a new free publication directed to the Gay community. The magazine which is called «GAY: Good As you» will be printed every two months and will be available both in Belarusian and Russian language. The first issues will be distributed from tomorrow in Minsk and will also be available online on Belarusian Gay portal Gaybelarus.by from Sunday. Chief-editor Sergey Praded explained that organizing such project in Belarus is not an easy thing: «Unfortunately, the authorities have denied to register our magazine, making it unofficial and preventing us to print more than 299 copies according to the law, but we hope to be able to circulate a few in other cities by April». Praded also explains that the project which involves a team of 10 volunteers is the result of local networking. «After the successful LGBT Conference that we organized last September in Minsk with the IDAHO Committee and the Russian LGBT group GayRussia, we made some good contacts with key Embassies and this project is already the first result».
